Problems with Install/Uninstall of PhotoModeler

If you’re having trouble with the installation of PhotoModeler you may have a corruption or conflict in the Windows install/patch registry keys. Error messages during installation or prompts for ‘original setup sources‘ indicate a problem.

Often an uninstall (using Add/Remove Programs in Windows Control Panel) then a full re-install using the latest installers will resolve the issue and cleanup your registry and installation ‘cache’. You may need to reboot your computer before reinstalling.

In addition if you are upgrading versions and the upgrade installer fails to uninstall the old version, you can first try a full re-install of your current version, and then try the upgrade installer again.

However, if this still doesn’t resolve the problem, your registry may be especially corrupt you may need to run a utility to help properly remove old installations. You can run a cleanup utility such as this Microsoft tool.

You should then be able to reinstall correctly using a full installer.

Various PhotoModeler install files and updates can be found in the PhotoModeler Software Archives. These install the Demo version but if PhotoModeler has been activated on your computer already, the full version will be installed.

If none of these solutions resolve the problem, please contact Technical Support for assistance, and provide the exact text of any error messages or prompts, and we will do our best to assist you.
