Video cameras and DVRs may not accurately encode the timing of each frame. PhotoModeler builds an index of each frame’s time for use in calculations, but this depends on the data in the video file to do this. To help with possible inaccuracy in the time encoding, there are different time averaging methods available. In the ‘Video Report Settings Dialog’, the control for ‘Average the frame times’ has three options: ‘Between Bookmarks’ (the frame time is averaged over the bookmark interval), ‘Over the whole video’ (the frame time is averaged over the whole video), and ‘Manual frame time entry’ (the frame time can be manually entered).
With the last option, the user can enter in any frame time average, and it will be used for all speed calculation. Note for multiple videos in the project, the manual time frame setting applies to all videos.
The time averaging settings do not apply to Image Sequences.
