For current owners of PhotoModeler Pro 4.0 through Pro 4.0f
PhotoModeler Pro 4.0g is available as a downloadable patch. This is the final Pro 4.0 patch that will be released.
As part of our ongoing commitment to our customers, this is a free download patch for current PhotoModeler Pro 4.0 (a to f) owners. The patch adds some new improvements and bug fixes, as well as all the other updates included in the previous Pro 4.0 patches.
Upgrading from the 4.0f release to 4.0g you get:
- major improvements to automatic referencing, including a new capability for two photo automatic referencing of near planar objects
- a new polygonal-region select mode
- various improvements to handling of NURBS Curves
- plus 33 other improvements and fixes

The changes since the 4.0a release (the CD's release version) to 4.0f include:
- major improvement of the DDE interface, resulting in better control by external programs
- points can now be selected in the Control Point Dialog's 3D View section and then marked on a photograph
- improvement of the automatic target marker precision
- "Select All" function now works while in Measure Mode, making it easier to measure area and volume
- you can now delete points, lines, curves and/or cylinders from Tables and 3D Viewers
- new Control Point Edit Dialog
- SGI Image Format is now supported
- new Measure Mode capabilities include display of x,y,z differences, and closest distance from Camera Station to surface
- updated help file, notably for Inverse Camera and DDE descriptions
- Surface Draw points can now be tagged
- the 3D Viewer allows you to center and rotate the 3D model about the currently selected objects
- you can select a Camera Station in the 3D Viewer and then use the right-mouse menu to open the photograph for that camera station
- plus 173 other fixes and improvements

The upgrade patch (approximately 6 MB) will upgrade a full (non-demo) Pro 4.0 (a to f, locked or unlocked) to Pro 4.0g. Please click on the appropriate link to download:
Download Pro 4.0g patch for unlocked customers from the main server. Download Pro 4.0g patch for locked customers from the main server.
note: Locked versions are copies of PhotoModeler that use a hardware dongle.
Upgrade Patch Installation Instructions
Save the patch to any directory on your hard disk. Double-click on the patch file, and it will automatically find and upgrade the existing PhotoModeler installation.
If you receive a message ".....PMPro40.exe is not a valid previous version and cannot be upgraded" when trying to install the patch, this is because: a) Pro 4.0 has not been installed. If so, install PhotoModeler from the CD then install the patch. b) You may have downloaded the incorrect patch (e.g locked patch instead of unlocked patch). Be sure you have downloaded the correct patch. If your package came with a hardware dongle then you have the locked version. c) The current PhotoModeler install is corrupt. Reinstall from the CD and then install the patch.
