35mm Film Camera Fiducials - 2 Point (product code "ins")
Plastic Film Plane inserts for use with 35mm film cameras. Each package includes 2 inserts. The inserts contain 2 fiducial marks to help produce accurate PhotoModeler results with a film camera. When negatives are printed or used with a negative scanner, they are often cropped in a random position. This can cause problems with PhotoModeler and reduce accuracy. The fiducial inserts are placed in the plane of a film camera by the user to help compensate for cropping of the images that occur.
Additional sets purchased in the same order are at the reduced cost shown in the price column.
2-Point Fiducial Inserts
The 2 fiducial marks provide a frame of reference when working with photos from 35mm cameras. With the 2 point fiducial installed, the 2 marks along the side (shown in the image to the left) will appear in the photographs that you take. In your PhotoModeler project, you will use the Fiducial marker to tell PhotoModeler where these 2 points appear in the photos.
The fiducial inserts are placed in the plane of a film camera by the user to help compensate for cropping of the images that occur. The insert is glued (a regular white paper glue stick works well) in the back of the camera. It is not a permanent modification to your camera if the appropriate glue is used.
