Eos Systems Inc. Licenses Key Technology to Geometrix, Inc.
Vancouver, BC, Canada - Eos Systems, developers of the popular PhotoModeler® line of photogrammetric software, today announced that it has licensed a key algorithm module to Geometrix Inc., a leading supplier of Web-enabled 3D imaging solutions.
PhotoModeler software produces accurate 3D data from photographs and is used by thousands of customers in many industries worldwide. At the core of PhotoModeler is a "bundle adjustment" algorithm now licensed by Geometrix that solves for the 3D positions of cameras and scene features to a high degree of accuracy. This algorithm is the result of more than 8 years of development and contains many of the known leading solution methods along with a number of proprietary improvements.
