Many advanced technologies are showcased in PhotoModeler products that have been developed exclusively by Eos Systems. If you have a custom application that could benefit from some aspect of PhotoModeler's functionality or if you require new capability that does not yet exist, we would be happy to talk to you about your needs. We have carried out such developments for NASA and GE among others.
When adding custom features or modules to our PhotoModeler product, there are some important aspects to understand. First, our ability to add new features or capabilities at any particular time depends on a few factors - such as our current development schedule and available resources.
Second, we generally work so these enhancements remain the sole property of Eos and we prefer to add enhancements that will have broad market appeal. We are open to discuss your ideas.
Third, the requested works falls into one of five categories and defines how we handle it:
- The requested feature is already on our enhancement list, we are working on it already and it will be released shortly. In this case, we inform the client of this status and then they just wait and obtain the desired feature for free in the next release!
- The requested feature is already on our enhancement list but is of low priority and slated to be developed much later (if at all). In this case the client shares the cost of developing the feature as an inducement for us to implement the feature sooner. The actual release date and when the work is carried out depends on our resource loading (i.e. how busy we are).
- The requested feature is not on our enhancement list but seems like a good one with wide public appeal. In this case the client shares the development cost with us and we place the feature in an upcoming release. The actual release date and when the work is carried out depends on our resource loading.
- The requested feature is not on our enhancement list and would appear to have some market appeal, but is industry specific. In this case the client shares the development cost with us but bears the majority of it. These developments would typically be large projects with large fees and we carry out at our discretion.
- The requested feature is not on our enhancement list, seems to have little broad market appeal, and is very customer or industry specific. In this situation a full custom solution may be required at full expense of the client. These new features and custom applications are not our preferred type of development but if it is a very large project, with large fees and potential for an excellent royalty stream then we are always open to discuss!
